Anheuser-Busch Approves Relationship Positions At Matesich Distributing

NEWARK — Anheuser-Busch recently approved two Matesich Distributing Co. employees for positions required in the relationship between the local beer wholesaler and A-B.
Sarah Matesich Schwab was recognized as equity agreement manager, while Matija Zitko assumed the role of successor manager.
In her new role, Schwab will be responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the company in regards to its relationship with Anheuser-Busch, including the management and sales of the A-B product portfolio within Matesich’s arsenal of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
Along with her approval as equity agreement manager, Schwab also was elevated to president and chief operating officer of Matesich Distributing.
Schwab succeeds Jim Matesich as equity agreement manager and president of Matesich Distributing. He will continue as CEO of the company, allowing him to continue to participate in numerous phases of the business while stepping away from daily duties and responsibilities, according to the company.
As a fourth generation owner, Schwab has worked within the family business within some capacity all of her life. A graduate of Wittenberg University, she officially started with the company in 2012. She and her husband, Travis, have two children, Jacob and Allyson.
In addition to being named successor manager, another position required in the relationship between the distributor and A-B, Zitko was promoted to director of Business Execution for Matesich. A graduate of Ohio Dominican, Zitko started as an intern with Matesich Distributing in 2007 and has served the company in a variety of responsibilities within the company’s sales division. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have one son, Dominic.
