150th Derby Celebration

Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris (left) and Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall finish laying down oak early last year in the Derby Winner’s Circle at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. The oak was used in a barrel for Woodford Reserve’s rarest whiskey, a thrice-barreled whiskey that also rested in the original bourbon barrel and a Cognac cask before being released this spring to commemorate next month’s 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.
