Spirits Network Announces Original Series

NEW YORK (PRNewswire) — Spirits Network, an online streaming en-tertainment network, is launching a new original series starring come-dian Adam Carolla.
The series, “Bourbon Barter,” will follow Carolla over three days as he attempts to barter a limited amount of Bulleit bourbon for food, shelter and other interesting activities along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, end-ing at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival.

DISCUS Welcomes 12 ‘Partner’ Members
WASHINGTON — The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States re-cently announced 12 companies have joined the organization as Partner Members under a new membership program launched in May.
The new Partner Members are Arglass, Dimensional Insight, EHS-Support, H&A Barrel, John S. Connor, Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits, Mother Murphy’s Flavors, The Scotch Bonnett Company, Society of Wine Educators, Spirits Network, Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and Wine and Spirits Shippers Association.
“We created the Partner Membership Program to further enhance our advocacy efforts while creating a means to receive important input and technical expertise from our supply chain partners on key issues facing the industry,” said Chris Swonger, president and CEO of DISCUS and Responsibility.org. “We’re proud to have these new 12 partner members, each of which are engaged in shaping tomorrow’s distilled spirits marketplace.”
Additionally, Ole Smoky Distillery LLC joined DISCUS last month as a Director Member. East Tennessee-based Ole Smoky is the nation’s largest craft distiller to join the DISCUS board of directors, according to the association.
Dos Equis Offers Football ‘Degree’
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (PRNewswire) — Dos Equis has introduced the College Football Football College, a series of free online courses that gives fans an opportunity to earn a certificate in watching college foot-ball.
Enrollment opened in August with the launch of 10 video lessons at www.dosequis.com/edu. The curriculum was developed in partnership with John U. Bacon, author of countless books on college football, and features Jay Cutler, former college and professional quarterback; Katie Nolan, ESPN personality; and Martellus Bennett, former college and professional tight end.
