OTN Ready To Make Its Move To Online Only

Although Ohio Tavern News is ending its 85-year run as a printed newspaper with this issue, subscribers will see no interruption in coverage as the transition is made to an online-only publication.

Beginning in January, all of OTN’s news, features and highlights will be available only at www.ohiotavernnews.com.

This is not uncharted territory. OTN has maintained a website for more than 20 years, offering subscribers the added option of accessing every item in the printed edition online, using a cellphone, tablet or computer. That ease of access will continue with the new OTN website.

The move to online will have the added benefit of allowing OTN stories to be posted and updated more frequently — even daily — rather than asking readers to wait for a print version to arrive in the mail.

Subscribers to Ohio Tavern News currently receive online access, so many readers may be familiar with the website. Those new to the online OTN will find the process of logging on simple. Upon payment, subscribers receive a user name, typically their email address, and the ability to create a unique, personalized password. Once online, subscribers will find the site easy to navigate, with links allowing instant access to the information they seek.
